Here comes a new challenger (I hope)

Right now, amazingly enough, DW is losing the race to make sense. (What do you mean I have to view my entry previews in my comment page style rather than my journal style?!) Maybe this race needs a new runner. I've seen enough of Blogger to utterly despise it (and it's still not honoring OpenID as of this afternoon), but WordPress may have some potential and is worth looking into (although I know it'll be an absolute bitch to port anything over given their different codebases). Anyone else have any alternatives to suggest? Seriously, all I'm looking for is something commonsensical. - ZM

Ech, I just had to go through four steps of logging in, adding an email address, confirming it, and then finding my way back here! Hope that was a once-only thing..

I just wanted to say that I've used Wordpress for two blogs and it's been fine. I don't know what kind of customizability you're looking for in your site layout/design or whether Wordpress provides it, but for me it was just a matter of choosing a premade thing and going with it.

P.S. With new eyes I notice that "e" and "em" remind me of Cameroonian Pidgin English! I never liked these pronouns before but I'm OK with them now.

I'm always fascinated by pidgin expressions - the thought processes that went behind creating them must be amusing. Take, for example, "basket belong pants". Isn't that just an amazing way to refer to a pocket? - ZM
